In my previous years participating in BPA through the Wayzata BPA Chapter, Chapter, Region, and State Officers have shown extensive leadership, always taking time to help with any troubles I might be having. It is for this reason that I intend to be a candidate for State Officer; to inspire and teach current MN BPA members with my diligent work ethic and my incomparable ability to lead. Over my two years of participation, I have received 3rd and 1st place at Regions, Finalist and 1st place at State, and also 3rd place at Nationals last year. My most successful event has been Administrative Support Research Project and I believe I did so well because I was able to make myself believe that the judges of the event were the owners I were trying to help. From this, I found myself making sure every tip I had was understood completely because I genuinely wanted to help the business owners with my tips. This position, I believe, requires just that; a person who genuinely wants to help the members of MN BPA improve, which I believe I have demonstrated to the best of my ability. I feel that this highly qualifies me for a position for a position in office where your purpose is to assist and lead. I have also shown my ability to lead and help people through other organizations that I am involved in such as L.I.N.K Crew, National Honor Society, Youth Extending Service, Choir where I was an officer this past year, and Baseball. All in all, I believe I would be an excellent representative for the State of Minnesota and all of its BPA Chapters and Members.The possibility of being a representative for the State Executive Team is personally very exciting. But, I’ve always been told that you can’t talk yourself up if you don’t plan to act. For this reason, if elected, I hope to implement a weekly article publication regarding tips and tricks for competing. I hope to partner with judges and advisors to get their input as well as tips that I have for members over my years of competing. Fortunately, this is the first on many brilliant ideas I have for MN BPA. Thank you for your time and consideration.
